Join us for our week of Easter Workshops

Here at the Young Actors Company, we know that brilliant performers are shaped not only by what happens under the spotlight but also by understanding the artistry behind the scenes.
That is why we are thrilled to introduce our Special Effects Makeup Workshop, an experience highly requested by our young actors. Guided by a professional makeup artist and industry practitioner, participants will dive hands on into the transformative magic of SFX, learning how to craft striking, camera ready illusions for both stage and screen.
From realistic cuts and burns to convincing bruises and beyond, this workshop blends creativity with technical skills, giving young performers an entirely new layer of storytelling power. Expect imagination, artistry, and a little movie magic
On Tuesday, the studio will ring with rhythm, energy, and West End sparkle as we welcome a professional musical theatre performer for an unforgettable Musical Theatre Workshop.
Blending the three essential disciplines: singing, dancing, and acting, this vibrant session invites young actors to stretch their versatility, sharpen technique and have fun!
Through dynamic choreography, vocal work, and character driven performance, participants will gain a valuable glimpse into the professional world of musical theatre while building skills that translate across stage and screen. Expect confidence boosting challenges, creative discovery, and a glorious burst of theatrical joy.
This workshop is a true gem, led by Robyn Holdaway, recognised from acclaimed television and stage roles such as Sex Education, AMC’s ‘Moonhaven’, BBC’s ‘Strike: Lethal White’ and celebrated for powerful audiobook performances including Our Wives Under the Sea.
In this immersive screen acting masterclass, young actors will step into the world of camera performance, exploring how to deliver truthful, nuanced work for the lens. From mastering subtle expression and emotional authenticity to learning the art of self-taping and understanding industry expectations, this session offers invaluable insight into the craft and business of acting for screen.
Expect a dynamic, inspiring experience designed to ignite confidence, sharpen technique, and give performers the tools they need to shine on camera.
Get ready to bring the action this Easter with our thrilling Stage Combat Workshop, designed especially for young performers who love high-energy, dramatic storytelling.
Led by an expert director, this dynamic session introduces actors to the exciting world of stage and screen combat, teaching them how to choreograph and perform convincing fight scenes safely and professionally.
Young actors will learn the fundamentals of punches, falls, reactions, and physical storytelling, discovering how performers make every moment look powerful, precise, and real, while always staying in control. Perfect for actors who want to expand their skill set, boost confidence, and add intensity to their performances, this workshop is packed with adrenaline, technique, and unforgettable fun.
Fee: £45 per day or £150 for the week.

"Our connection with The Young Actors Company goes back over 12 years – we’ve seen our boys blossom and grow in confidence with each class, workshop and production that they’ve taken part in. They’ve learnt the importance of discipline, being prepared, speaking up and teamwork. They’ve done voice recordings, been on TV, in film and on stage. Most of all they’ve gained a life-long love of acting."
