Wednesday - Screen Acting and Improvisation

Lights, camera, action! Young actors will dive head-first into our Screen Acting Workshop, one of the areas the Young Actors Company truly specialises in. This immersive session pulls back the curtain on what it really takes to perform for camera, giving actors hands-on experience with industry-standard techniques. Led by industry professionals, it’s a one-of-a-kind opportunity to build confidence on camera, sharpen performance skills, and gain invaluable insight into the world of film and television.

In the afternoon, we unleash the magic of Improvisation. This high-energy workshop celebrates the art of thinking on your feet, embracing the unexpected, and trusting your instincts as an actor. Thursday - Stage Combat and Puppetry

Get ready to bring the action this Easter with our thrilling Stage Combat Workshop, designed especially for young performers who love high-energy, dramatic storytelling. Led by an expert instructor, this dynamic session introduces actors to the exciting world of stage and screen combat, teaching them how to choreograph and perform convincing fight scenes safely and professionally. Young actors will learn the fundamentals of punches, falls, reactions, and physical storytelling, discovering how performers make every moment look powerful, precise, and real, while always staying in control. Perfect for actors who want to expand their skill set, boost confidence, and add intensity to their performances, this workshop is packed with adrenaline, technique, and unforgettable fun.

Step into the magical world of Puppetry, where imagination takes centre stage and objects come to life. In this creative and inspiring workshop, young actors will explore the art of puppetry, the powerful skill of transforming an inanimate object, material, or sculpted figure into a living, breathing character. Actors will discover how movement, voice, focus, and storytelling work together to create believable performances, whether the puppeteer is visible or hidden from view. From traditional techniques to puppetry integrated into theatre, dance, and performance, this centuries-old art form opens up endless creative possibilities. Puppetry is an incredible tool for developing physical awareness, character work, and expressive storytelling and this workshop promises curiosity, creativity, and pure theatrical magic.
